Davide D'Amico

Davide leads semantic modelling and data standardisation initiatives at Bloomberg, developing training programs that have up-skilled hundreds of employees and advanced the adoption of ontology-driven methodologies across the firm.
Davide holds a PhD in Digital Engineering and has authored several peer-reviewed publications on cognitive digital twins, using formal ontologies and knowledge-driven applications. He has also contributed to the Industrial Ontology Foundry (IOF). His expertise includes RDF, OWL, SPARQL, SHACL, and top-level ontology-based data management systems.
Before working at Bloomberg, Davide lectured at Cranfield University, specialising in Ontology-based Data Management with a focus on Digital Twin applications. His career spans industry and academia, and he contributed to projects at GE General Electric and Fraunhofer Institute, where he advanced Industry 4.0 technologies.
